We're both in our early 30's, we haven't known each other our whole lives until now. We did meet as kids briefly at family events.

We've been hanging out recently together (at bars) and got a bit flirty, but _I_ am keeping distance because I'm afraid of scaring her.

She said "well, it's not like you were going to have kids or anything".

I was a bit taken back. What does this mean? So I would joke about that out at the bar and she'd say "don't worry cuz [cousin], I won't fuck you", but I could swear her eyes connected with mine when she said it.

So you're probably thinking to say "Go for it!", well, a bit more back-story. She was raped as a child by a family member for many years. To sum it up (plus a bit more).

2) She's hinted at the prospect of fucking cousins being okay as long as you don't have kids
3) She was raped as a child and me advancing on her might trigger something?
4) Her dad and I know each other, and he _seriously_ might _literally_ kill me if he found out. I think she could keep a secret though.

I think I know what to do, next time we go out, I can comment more on how good she looks, and take it from there, but man...

The old rape story, sometimes used to mask the fact she liked it, but knew it would make her look bad when others found out or they were caught at it. It wasn't my fault, he raped me.
I know a story a lot like that, a young girl would initiate things with almost any male, from her step father, step brother, friends, but when her mother and gmother found out her story changed.

I would agree... you are both not teens, and if it is consentual on both sides, then she should not go into rape mode. The next time she makes a comment, go with the flow. Egg her on a little and see where it leads. She jsut may like teasing you, as she also feels the deep "friendship", but may not want to take things to the sexual level too. Just play it cool and go slow... show her that you DO care, adn let things happen as they may.

Oh wow, I read this and it made me think. This situation has a few similarities to mine. My cousin is hot as hell and I'd so like to fuck her. She didn't seem to avoid my advances on her, such as going to the strip club where she works, with her.
